Fifty Things About Me

  1. My middle name is Christine.
  2. My mom actually picked the name shortly after I was born, after her best friend growing up, Christy.
  3. I have never had a "best" friend.
  4. I have a couple of close, close friends, but I would never be able to pick one out and say they are the "best".
  5. I'm not a super-duper friendly person, and would consider myself an introvert.
  6. I have a master's degree in school counseling.
  7. I have $20,000 in school loans and am currently not working as a school counselor.
  8. I teach piano lessons and earn $80 a month.
  9. I took piano lessons from the age of 8 until the age of 17.
  10. The most difficult song I learned to play was Chopin's Clair de Lune.
  11. If I ever have a little girl I want to name her Holly Claire, after my mother and Mike's grandmother who died before Mike ever knew her.
  12. My next birth will be a home birth.
  13. I would like to have three children.
  14. My husband is happy with two.
  15. I met my husband at work, and he says his first impression of me was that I was a "bitch".
  16. He is almost nine years older than me, and when I found out his age I didn't think I could date him anymore.
  17. We've been married 7 1/2 years.
  18. We have done couple's counseling three different times during our marriage.
  19. I'm sure we will do it again.
  20. When I was 19 I lived in Moscow, Russia and taught English in a kindergarten.
  21. One of my favorite books is The Brothers Karamazov, by Dostoevsky.
  22. I took three years of Spanish in High School and two weeks of Japanese.
  23. I quit Japanese so I could go back to band where I played the clarinet.
  24. I hated playing the clarinet.
  25. I'm allergic to penicillin and codeine makes me deathly ill.
  26. I have never used illegal drugs.
  27. I smoked off and on for 5 years.
  28. My favorite food is a hamburger, and my favorite place to eat one is Red Robin.
  29. I went to In-n-Out for the first time this month and the burgers there are delicious.
  30. I cannot stand nuts in anything.
  31. I have absolutely no athletic ability.
  32. I don't shave my legs in the winter, but I shave my armpits everyday.
  33. When I was in 6th grade I won a writing contest and went to the University of Oregon to a Writing Symposium.
  34. I have not won anthing since then.
  35. When I was about 5 years old I found a winning ticket for a Malibu Barbie in a box of Cracker Jack's, but the ticket had expired.
  36. I have had approximately the same haircut for the last 10 years.
  37. I am considered a "reckless" driver and my license was restricted last summer.
  38. I have only been in two car accidents in my life. One when I was 16 years old and the other happened last month.
  39. In my first car accident I received a pretty serious concussion and suffered amnesia. There is a 15 minute period of time that I have no memory of, and I was driving most of it.
  40. In highschool, one of my friends was not allowed to ride in a car with me when I was driving because of my reckless driving habits.
  41. I get nervous everytime I see I police car.
  42. I prefer to wear shoes all of the time, and would wear them to bed if I could.
  43. I cry easily.
  44. I have a very loud laugh.
  45. I have never been to Canada.
  46. If I could travel any place in the whole world, I would want to go to Paris with my husband.
  47. I love being alone and have no problem going to movies or out to eat by myself.
  48. If I had the guts I would go back to school to be a graphic designer.
  49. I am studying to be a doula.
  50. I am terrified of heights and hate flying, climbing ladders and crossing bridges on foot.

hey there amy, i love this list of stuff. i remember doing one of those in my mission in one of my 14 mission journals. don't ask which one. i think it was a list of stuff that annoy me though and it was up into the hundreds. much of it stemmed from my comp at the time i'm sure. anyway, we have a ton of stuff in common. i hate nuts on ANYTHING but i love them by themselves. weird! love you, cam
